Things you should know...
THE WELCOME
All standard navigation courses are run from The Bear Hotel in Crickhowell, a small but bustling town on the main A40 between Abergavenny and Brecon.AVAILABILITY
We operate throughout the year (Christmas holiday excepted), and you can join us in several ways. You can, for example, come on one of our open navigation courses, which are pre-arranged courses run on specific dates. On these navigation courses, numbers are kept very small to allow for personal attention and maximum enjoyment. We guarantee there will never be more than 4 people per instructor - it may well be less!
Alternatively, you can choose personal tuition or 1:1 coaching on a tailor-made course, on the dates most convenient to you. We also offer special events for groups of 5 or more.
EQUIPMENT, CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR
If your course requires you to have specialist equipment, we will supply this at no extra charge. All you need to bring is suitable clothing and footwear, and a small rucksack, and these are available for hire if necessary. A comprehensive kitlist will be sent when we confirm your booking.AGE LIMITS
Please note that we are unable to cater for unaccompanied persons under 18 years of age. However, we set no upper age limit, and positively welcome the more mature young-at-heart!FITNESS
Mountain activities are fairly physical pursuits! Although you do not have to be superfit, we advise you to arrive in reasonable shape, if only for your own comfort and enjoyment!
